Title: Senior Buyer - "Accepting Resumes for this Future Position"
Position Profile:
- This position will be located in Santa Clara, California.
- The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the procurement of all components, supplies and services in accordance with Absolute Turnkey Services’ quality, delivery and pricing expectations. In this vital role, the Purchasing Agent must have previous distribution and/or contract manufacturing experience and thus be comfortable with the manufacturing lifecycle of the printed circuit board assembly process.
Job Responsibility:
- Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, cost reduction, availability and delivery schedule.
- Has good knowledge of electronic components and is able to differentiate parts.
- Orders, reschedules and cancels material based on requisitions and MRP output.
- Follows all internal procurement/ purchasing procedures per ISO Standards; uses correct and approved forms to conduct purchasing activities.
- Analyzes and uses quarterly and daily MRP reports to maintain inventory requirements. Monitors changes in customer demand and work to effectively minimize shortages and /or excess inventory levels. Proactively identifies and communicates the status of excess inventory for potential customer liability.
- Reviews all delivery issues and takes appropriate corrective action to avoid schedule impact. Expedites delivery of goods to users.
- Gathers quotations, negotiates contracts and makes awards. Evaluates existing vendors’ performance on price quality and commitment and compares to potential vendors for possible use.
- Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle.
- Interfaces with sales, quoting, shipping/receiving, and production teams to resolve issues.
- Interfaces with suppliers and customers to secure both delivery and the best market price.
- Collaborates with accounting and vendors in solving invoicing discrepancies.
- Makes tactical buying decisions.
- Assists the Purchasing Manager on all projects as assigned.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of experience in quoting and purchasing of electronic components required.
- Industry experience and knowledge of the PCB assembly process preferred.
- Skilled with negotiating the best prices, lead-time arrangements and resolving supplier quality and delivery issues.
- Strong (oral and written) communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well with teams and purchasing manager on procurement process.
- Proficient with MS Excel, specifically with formulas, sorting and exporting files.
- Independent and self-directed.

Title: Sales Engineer - "Accepting Resumes for this Future Position"
Position Profile:
- This position will be located in Santa Clara, California.
- The Sales Engineer is as much a role of individual contributor as it is one of support resource for the sales team. As focal point of technical responsibility for potential and existing customers, the Sales Engineer is the technical interface between the Sales team and other company departments. Together with the VP of Sales this role is responsible for meeting Revenue and Customer Satisfaction Goals.
Job Responsibility:
- Identifies and communicates technical and business pre-sales issues to the Sales Manager.
- Works closely with the sales team to earn new business and maintain existing customer relationships.
- Formulates technical strategies and sales tactics in support of company products and services.
- Supports Sales Managers in customer calls as needed; by presenting technical features to customers, highlighting product attributes and competitive advantage.
- Creatively manages customer technical issues to assure effective and timely resolution. Consistently demonstrates the ability to influence and educate prospective customers and partners via demonstrations, technical resources or other methods to more effectively sell technical solutions.
- Interfaces with Sales Managers, PMs and existing customers to ensure that all issues are tracked and closed.
Key Selection Criteria:
- The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the Sales Engineer role.
- Bachelors Degree preferred and /or related job experience.
- A proven track record of technical support, sales support with good customer interaction skills, in the Contract Manufacturing industry.
- Ability to understand and explain related technical issues through solid knowledge of the PCB assembly process.
- Industry experience and knowledge of the PCB assembly process preferred.
- Strong (oral and written) communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment.
